Getting hacked is becoming a new way of life online.
There are websites and there are hackers.Be it your online bank account, email accounts or whatever login, you are susceptible to hackers and your passwords are at stake
Then how else could one make sure that his/her password is hard to crack?
I have one suggestion to my online friends in choosing the password - Please use passwords that are long enough, a mix of numbers, Upper case letters and alpha-numeric characters (!@#$%^&* etc).
I know its difficult to remember these passwords, but there is a work around .I don't remember any of my passwords, I don't even try to memorize them, but I still login to my accounts successfully. Here is how -
Consider this to be my password zaqwedcxs@147896325 (thats only for illustration, thats not my password for any of my accounts
Can you memorize that?
How about this - cxzaqwed$$36987412 ? Can anyone guess that ?
Ok. Now if you go and actually type these passwords, you will notice that there is a pattern in typing these keys on the keyboard. That means, I start form a random key, start going either in a clockwise or anti clockwise circles and I use a similar (or different pattern) on the number pad and will seperate the numbers and letters with a special symbol (aka alpha numeric char).
Advantage is that my passwpod has never been hacked in last 3-4 years.
I have hundreds of logins and I remember none of them (My initial key of the passwords start with the first name of the domain. For warrior forum,my password could be something like Wedcxs!!!!258963. Now beat that!! Thats hard to guess and since I dont write it anywhere, no one can steal it too. I just remember the pattern (which is easy as against remembering the password) and getaway with it .
Howzatt!!!

Aravind.
